My new go to product is Turmeric, it’s the unmistakable bright yellowish orange spice that does it all. It can help regulate cholesterol, aides in cognitive function, the list goes on but improving and maintaining healthy skin is what caught my attention.
Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial benefits that have been proven to prevent, clear up acne breakouts and reducing resultant scarring. Turmeric brightens up your skin to bring out its natural glow. I have been using it religiously for two weeks now and the difference has been quite noticeable.

Here’s my easy d.i.y face mask recipe, my mellow yellow turmeric face mask.
You’ll need:
-3tsp Turmeric powder
-4tbs Coconut milk
-4tbs Greek yogurt
-1tbsHoney
-1tsp Chickpea powder or Kaolin clay (optional)
I typically make a small batch for my daily use over the span of 2-3 days, once in the morning, then I store the remainder in the refrigerator for the night application.
In a small resealable bowl, blend together Greek yogurt, honey and (chickpea powder or Kaolin clay), then add the Turmeric and coconut milk. You can add more coconut milk and continue to blend until it becomes a smooth paste.
1.Wash and dry your face to remove oil, and any impurities before applying the mask.
2. Apply the mask generously, either with your fingers or an application brush (I use an old foundation brush)
3. Allow the mask to sit on your face for about 10 to 15 minutes until it’s completely dry
4. Rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry and voila!
I use the mask twice a day but you can gauge your needs and results and apply accordingly.
Have fun!
